“THAT’S JUST IT ABOUT THE BARTLETT; THE DETAILS. THEY’VE BEEN PAID ATTENTION TO AND IMPLEMENTED WITH STYLE” ~ SPOCOOL
The Bartlett began as a dream of two musicians and turned into an incredible adventure that involved a huge community of support. Caleb and Karli Ingersoll began scheming ideas for a new all ages music venue shortly after The Empyrean, one of Spokane’s staple venues closed down in 2011. After nearly two years of planning, business plan writing and refining their vision, The Bartlett was announced to the community through the crowd-funding website Indiegogo.com. In 30 short days $21,085 was raised to open the doors of The Bartlett and move this plan from dream to reality.
In April of 2013 The Bartlett signed a lease with local renaissance man and commercial developer, Dan Spalding on a space in his newly purchased historic building on West Sprague. Construction began and the plan was carried into action through the summer by a talented team of craftsmen.
